February 2010
Dear Friends:
I can't believe how fast the year is rolling along. I just got used to writing 2010 and we're now finishing the first week of March! Now I know what our parents meant
when they said that time goes by faster the older you get. So today I feel really old because I'm really behind on a lot of things I need to do. But you know; I've
come to realize that we will never be caught up no matter how much extra time we have. So I'm just going to take things one day at a time. I know I'll feel much more
sane that way and I won't have to keep apologizing! How bout you?
Jack and I have taken a much longer break than our usual winter hiatus and it's been nice. However we did do a little work. We painted our hallway and added wainscoting
and chair rail. So now we can finally put family pictures back on the wall that have been stored for years. With spring around the corner we have a lot of outdoor jobs
to finish. Like the deck, re-landscaping, staining the house etc. Of course we have concert dates between all that as well. We are planning another trip to the state of
Washington in April. Then it's on to the mid west this Fall where we'll be gone almost two months with concert tours, vacation and a couple days at the National Quartet
Convention in Louisville, Kentucky (my home state). So we're really looking forward to that! It's always great to see all my family!
I believe I have shared with all of you about the internet radio station that I have been privileged to be on. It's called Heir Wave Radio and it's produced out of
Oklahoma and Texas by Daniel Graves and Tommy D. Mayo. They do a great job of supporting and promoting my ministry on the airwaves. As a Featured Artist they play my
songs on an average of about 8 to 10 times a day. This is a great resource in getting my name and songs out to the rest of the country so that others are aware of my
ministry. This also helps in booking concert dates in the Midwest and Southern states. So with that said I would like to make you aware of the "request a song" feature.
Just go to this link, Heirwave Radio, and click on "request a song". This will bring up a boxed area for you to type in your request.
You can also click on "Listener Impact" and a specific month to see how many times my songs have been played that month. It's a great site and these guys truly support
and promote us with great honor. So I hope you will request my songs as often as possible as this will show that I have a following and help to further my ministry.
By doing so you have a hand in the work God is doing through me.
In the meantime I am sorting through new music and praying for the Lord's direction for finances to record another CD. I didn't record last year so it would be great to
get back into the studio this year. Now I Just have to pin down my recording engineer whenever he's in town. He retired shortly after Jack and has been traveling and
building churches. So I guess I can't fault him for that. But please, keep us in your prayers for another recording endeavor. It's truly my heart's desire to sing and
touch lives with the awesome messages of the songs God sends my way. But I also want to be in tune with His timing and His will. It is such a blessing to serve Him and
a joy to sing for Him. I don't take that lightly and truly want to honor Christ in everything I do and say.
I so appreciate all of you who pray for me on a regular basis. I call you my "prayer warriors" because you are helping to fight the fight for me at times when I need it
most. I couldn't keep going without God's grace and protection and your love and support. You're all important in my ministry and I take each one of you with me in my heart
wherever I go. I also pray for all of you as I know your paths get hard to travel at times too. Together we'll make it through because of our faith. So don't give up,
whatever you're going through…grace is greater still!
Until next month, I'll pray for you.....you pray for me!
Love & Blessings,
